Gentle abstract expressions, meditative silences, and tender longings are what make up My Soul Waits. I wrote this during my brief Franciscan formation in religious life as a postulate. My soul was waiting for the next move, the next answer, the next choice to be made. Do I stay or do I go back to secular life? Do I pursue spiritual life and service as a Franciscan or is there more for me to do in secular life?
