Not the light, but the fire that burns aims to give the listener a journey through varying intensities of energy, from an effervescent buoyant opening to low piano and dark gong soundings evocative of deep longings, to a relentless closing of toms, gongs, and piano going full force. Whatever one’s faith, I believe anyone can understand this concept: that the end of journeying with love — whether we call it God, the universe, enlightenment, or something else — is to become one with that ultimate joy, the ultimate peace, the ultimate love. The light is the reflection of this fire of love. Why not go for the source?
